0:07That's great. Well, Mark and Kofi, thank you so much for doing this. Oh, thanks. Thank you. And last question. Yeah, that's very quick. Okay. Well, I want to start with the process thing, but then I'm sitting in the other room watching this behind the scenes stuff, and I'll start with you, Mark. You're in this leotard. Everyone else gets to be in these... Was I a cool boss to do that behind the scenes? A little bit, yeah. Just a cheap band. My man canceling the tard? Just a cheap band. You get to be naked in front of one of the greatest character actors of all time. Yes. And in this leotard in front of all these other great actors. Yes. So what was that like? It was incredibly daunting. I improvised, I did improvise one thing in the movie. When I throw him down on the ground after catching iron head. Yes, yeah. And he's laying there. And I'm in my man canceling leotard. I let out a yell, a howl, a primal scream, hulk scream.
0:57And I'll never forget Robert opened his eyes and he licked up at me and he's like, are you going to do that like that? And I was totally embarrassed and mortified. But then I just kept doing it and it made it into the movie. It was such a great moment in it too. It's a nice little moment, right? That was my big improvisation of the whole movie. That was the one moment Josh let me skip through. Well it's cool. That speaks to the technology that you're able to improvise as the Hulk. I can improvise as the Hulk and make a caption. How cool is that? Did you get to improvise it all? No, no Maria Hill was very much by the player. On the numbers. Yeah. There's not a lot of improv happening. The Hulk's a little bit of a wild card, wouldn't you say? Yeah. Yeah. Don't bring in the wrong coffee order.
1:42No, probably not. So I heard you try and do characters that speak to you in a way or another. So how did Banner speak to you? Well I grew up on Banner. I was a, you know, I wasn't exactly a geek but me and my cousins would, you know, trade comic books. And the TV show was my favorite. That was my favorite show. And so when this came, if I ever saw myself playing a superhero, this was the one. And you know I went back when I was preparing, I went back and I got the box out of the TV and I was a long-shave. It was my 10-year-old. And after the third episode he turned to me and said, Papa he's so misunderstood.
2:27And that was my experience of Banner, Hulk, in that relationship. And there's my 10-year-old boy who's got like the force of nature streaming through his body and all these big feelings like the body to carry him all. And at this terrible moment of his life when everyone's telling him to sit down and behave yourself. And that became kind of my jumping off point for, you know, the Hulk and Banner and that relationship and what he knows he has inside of him but is afraid to use. That's wonderful. Thanks. How about you, Kobe? Same thing, do you look for characters that speak to you? Absolutely. I mean with this project in particular it was funny because I knew so little about, not only
3:14I knew so little about Shiel and about Maria Hills involvement but I also knew so little, I hadn't read the script. So I came in to this film just really wanting to work with Joss Whedon. And Mark Offalow. And of course, I mean of course. Me? Really? Yes. Thank you. You're the reason I'm here. Thank you. Of course there's an amazing cast as well. She just learned these amazing things in these. But I really thought, you know, I thought it was, I think that there's something really interesting about her character where thinking about where she came from, she is almost the highest ranking officer at Shiel Nick Fury is the next. And for a woman to get to where she is, what did she have to go through?
4:00What kind of training did she have to go through? Was she military? Did they take her out of there? What did she do? So that was sort of an interesting thing to always have in my pocket. But really when it came down to it, I signed on because of Joss. Right. And because my fiance said he would kill me if I didn't do it. Right. And those are two valid reasons. Yes. I just got the route. I just got the route signed. So we do something called five questions, five quick questions, one more answers. Okay. Spielberg or Squaresazing? Spielberg. Lendner McCartney. Lend. Lend. Really? Favorite comic book character. Wonderful. Cool. And roll your most proud of. Mother.
4:47Mother. Father. Man. And in one word, the Avengers. Dope. I'm going to say the W.O.I.F.G. The one F.G. Oh, and then that's good guys. Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. Thank you. Thank you so much. Awesome. Boom.
