06So explain to me the show because I've only seen the trailer and you seem so excited. Oh, it's okay I'm very very proud as you can tell It's kind of like castle meets Highlander Yeah, how they sold you? No, but that's my description of it after reading the pilot. I was I've loved it It's like a procedural, but it's also character driven and has this dramatic element to it and line through it Like a serialized so it's kind of the marriage of two And it's just a lot of fun. It's these Unlikely characters that come together and create this entire world and you buy into it There's dr. Henry Morgan. I don't know how much you know about it I do that and I was gonna say the buying into it totally watching the trailer even though he dies right and like comes like it works though Somehow you believe it. Yeah. Yeah, he's just it's very cool. He's

53Been immortal for 270 years and doesn't know why and he's trying to figure it out and he's become a medical examiner and And so he has this relationship. There's only one other person who knows his secret With the guy named Abe who was played by Jed Hirsch. He's amazing. Oh, he's so lovable and then my character is named Joe Martinez. She's a detective and She basically considers him a suspect in the beginning and then by the end of it this kind of dynamic duo In in sous and and you know that they are going to go on these journeys together And he's gonna help herself crimes and you know is she gonna find out a secret is she not we don't know No, I mean I think they're friends and they're very flawed and

40You know she's an alcoholic. She's lost her husband a year ago. She's She's a messed up mama. These are all the things that attract you the role. Absolutely. Yeah, and to be able to play something that's character driven You know and play a strong intelligent woman who you know carries cuffs. It's just so fun and Then she's also vulnerable and you know, there's a dark dark sad side to her too So that's really it's just fun to explore and have you know that journey. You only shot the pilot Yeah, I'm so excited to find out what happens in the second episode The middle of July we'll start shooting again. New York City I know nothing you know are you just saying that because you don't want to know because I can you tell I'm an open book No, I don't know anything yet. They are writing a second episode and I know

27They are at the notes phase, you know with post-its everywhere and trying to figure out where we're going How did you find her when you when you were this first time? How did I find her as an actor you mean? Yeah, like how did you find? How did you find the character like where did you go to research it? Yeah, you know One of my best friends is an alcoholic. So that was kind of easy I know her and I know her story and I know how she self-medicated through things So that was kind of an easy go-to place to find that person and you know as an actor I think that's your your job to kind of Say what would I do in that situation? You know what part of me is Joe and And so that's really just fun to explore and I'm sure she's gonna do a lot more exploring throughout the season because she has this journey

13I mean in the pilot I am I don't know how much I can give away, but she goes through some things in the pilot where you're like really Lit on fire really, you know, it's just cool little Little tidbit there you go where That's my hand but um was that you were stunned like how did that? Total stun are you kidding? I don't like me on fire although it's I'll tell you it's very tricky to play that and it's not actually happening Action you are lit on fire. How do you play that? You just have to go for it. You have to go for it because you could look really dumb There you are the believability in the character. That's true. Yeah, yeah the belief of ability in the entire world is so interesting and you know like I said it's a buy-in and

59People jump and and you get to see these Flashbacks of Henry's life throughout history and you know the love of his life who he outlived and it's just oh It's a great great story if you so jeez I'm gonna ask you any what if you were to live forever What a hero would you want to like what would be your era? Oh? Gosh, I should have like a really great answer. No, it's actually that yet. Well, they asked me if I wanted to go back in history Where would I go so it's kind of something? It's an exact same question. Thank you. Yeah, sorry It sounds so stupid. I wanted to say the 1940s and do you know why no, it's really dumb It's because of the wardrobe and hair. I think it's really cool. Like you did be fun. Yeah, right? Are you putting any roles like that? Yeah, it's great girl. No, it's great You can be you can be whatever you want whatever I'm a chick. Are you playing your roles like where you got to go back?

46In fact, I talked to Matt Miller who's the creator and I said please let him have a flashback where he thinks he sees Joe, you know And he started laughing and said no, not really That takes out the belief ability right? He's like um that's not the world you live in. Yeah, okay fine So there's that we do some cool five questions five quick questions. Oh great. Okay, script or improv stage or screen screen Oh, wow McCartney what term do you prefer film movie or picture? Movie in one word forever I like that's two words, but I'll let you give it lifetime

32But of letter thank you. You're welcome. Thanks meeting. Yeah, you too
