01Three months ago I had a great job and a nice apartment and I was in love with my wife Hello a year time on our sides dad's dead what? Nice sis mommy. What's different about her the boobs? Shout-out to chat your father had one final request and we are gonna honor it We just wanted his kids under one roof. So for the next seven days you are all grounded Hey What oh no no no no we're just sitting in awkward silence should explain what's Greek Greek people this is a What to do with it?
49Must be less stressful for you coming this year though without like you're just acting this time must be nice You were like direct. Mmm. Yeah big big shot last time. Yeah. Yeah. I had a sweater around my shoulders and everything You can't you have to with an independent movie York are you coming to the festival to actually sort of sell the movie? Yes. Yeah, that's a big pressure situation Yeah, but it wasn't my money so worked out work. All right. Yeah, this is this is It's all it's it feels the same Yeah, yeah, you you care about a project and you want to let people know about it and oh it's easier now because I'm doing it with Tina Last year I was doing it by myself, right? So I only have to talk half as much which is less fun for me But listen This is a this is a great movie. It's very easy to talk about this one
34It was fun to watch even like especially the scenes of the two of you on the roof like how did you two craft that brothers Just a relationship maybe before filming even yeah, I mean we rehearsed a little bit the whole ensemble rehearsed a little bit But also it's it's usually with filming you don't want to rehearse it too much because you want it to sort of feel fresh when you film it We didn't do anything external to try to Get to know each other better other than film this movie in a tiny house Yeah for three weeks But you know, it's nice real house real house. Oh wow What's nice is that I don't want to get too sappy But you know Tina's a very real person and she's very nice and she's there's not a lot of you know BS with her and and what what you never acted before I mean even on SNL
20I don't think we were so yeah, so you don't know whether her acting style is going to be one that is equally natural and and organic and Yeah, and so that was that was really Great news when we started acting we didn't really start acting until cameras were rolling And and you start you start hearing this coming back from the other side that it's it's all It's it's like she is off camera too and it was that was very very exciting All of our scenes were a lot of fun to play those were a lot of very fun scenes to play You said a good morning America that she was simple to work with as a compliment. Yeah, I think so What was working with Jason like It was simple but in the other meaning no it was great it was you know, um, there are many things I enjoyed working
14about working with Jason Obviously his his gift as a as an actor in a comedian But the other things I like is that because Jason is also a director and he knows every part of the business Oh, you know a lot of movie making is made easier when the person understands how movies are made You even looking back on what I feel like I've learned in the few movies I've made it's like Just like you can be doing like you can be acting so hard In like a wide master and then like fatigue yourself before like you don't leave anything left for the close-up, right and also just Having a great sense of like we'll simplify some here now. Let's move on like knowing you don't want to just constantly be just Blathering and wearing yourself out. Um, and I think he has a very great sense of how to not work too hard
03I know work too hard. That's a talent. I started in school Yeah, but he's I think he is a good man. Just billing me. Yeah, I misspelling the word answer. Yeah tricky W Hides in there How did directing change the way you approach a set because I assume this would it may become right afterwards Or maybe just a couple afterwards. Yeah, I forget. I forget where this is before after but it was after cuz you had Hond you had already. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, that's true You know you you really appreciate actors that That come in prepared You know I'm thinking about Jane Fonda is such a pro and is obviously so keenly aware of how to difficult it is to Create fake life, you know, it seems kind of simple, but it's
50Anyway, so she she always came in with all of her lines learned and knowing what the scenes about and and with a full tank of gas ready for you know a 12-hour day and That's that's a it's something you just assume every actor would have but you'd be surprised that That People are not too eager to work super hard all the time myself included and and as a as a director I'm trying to teach myself to be a little bit more disciplined. Well, I gotta let you go So we do some cool five questions five quick questions one more answers script or improv Scrip stage or screen? Green Leonard or McCartney Hitchcock or Kubrick in one word. This is where I leave you
42See it's perfect What that means after the credits Thanks guys, thank you
