03I spent two years thinking about one moment. He set me up. In our world, you always go back. He just left him there. That's what I can't forgive. So who do I present my speeding ticket with from last night? After leaving the show? Yeah, that's mine. It's a mix of 100 dots, fine. It's just a mix of nothing. So I was so happy to see Kid Cudi in the movie. He needed that chance to be cast in a role where he could just perform. It's a funny story to make it short. He came in the casting suite. The Dreamworks was really like,

48I want you to take a look at the sky, Kid Cudi. And as Aaron's become such a good close friend of mine, he knows. I'm like the most ignorant man on the planet. Who's Kid Cudi? I'll short read him. So he comes in, I didn't know who he was, and he was fantastic. I was like, this kid's great, man. And he leaves. My sister comes in, he looks at me, because he's 22, he looks at me, he goes. You have no idea who that is, do you? And I was like, I got a clue. And all of a sudden, he plays some music. Oh my God, that's the guy. I was really happy that I didn't know him. Because I cast him purely on his talent. I didn't cast him because I knew he was a fantastic songwriter and rapper. I was just like, he's just a great actor. And he's wonderful in me. He's incredible in this film. Absolutely. So are you, man? You carry a film. It's awesome, man.

34Well, it's all because of this guy. He just made it look like a guy. He made it look like a guy. He made it look like a guy. I knew what I was doing. Yeah. Now while the film is amazing, you see all these car scenes, there's that one interrogation scene where you, I don't know, I just feel like that would have been a tough scene to pull off. That was the very, I'm not that. Oh, actually, you know, that was the first scene. That was the first scene. I always thought the first. You shot that first. Yeah, we shot completely out of sequence. Sure. Yeah, that was the first scene of the scene. Aaron came straight. He was breaking bad, kept going longer. And he finally had to leave the night after he wrapped. He got out of plane, flew to me. It was that app when we, and that was the first scene he had to shoot. The very first scene. It was raining. It was our cover song. Yeah. And Scott, he was just, you know, in the interrogation room, just talking to me through the, you know, by the side of the camera, I'll give me some new interactions.

21He's one of the most visceral actors to work with, and it was so much fun because this was our first film together to work. And when we did that scene and you saw it, he's so wonderful that scene. And he was like, he knows, I always bull talk. I get so excited working with somebody like him that he delivers, man. The performances are so amazing. It's just like, I do. Every time I come over, I think he's expecting me to just drive him to the ground, like a football tackle. I'm like, oh my God, it was so good. He's so talented, man. Does the scene like that take a bunch of, is that an all day thing or is that, hit it? No one happens. Does it have to happen? Yeah. You know, with Aaron, I was always two or three takes, man. The guy just does it, you know. He does the first take and I'll come in and just we'll talk a little bit and then boom. It's like, it's crazy.

07On the flip side of the car stuff because I want to show some of the behind the seat, the stuff that you guys figured out how to shoot this man. It just looks awesome. This guy, it's incredible. I mean, his thing is, he didn't want to use any CGI. So we were doing all of this practical. And you just don't see that anymore. It's kind of a lost art form, I feel like. Yeah. It's just CGI. It's just so good now. But he always said, he's like, I just feel like the audience knows they're kind of being lied to. And he's like, I don't want to lie to the audience. I want them to just know subconsciously something is different here. It just looks more real in that's what he did. That's the way they did it, right? They did it in bullet and banishing point and all those great movies and that's really stark. It's all practical and real.

53How many GoPro's got destroyed? I can't believe how many point there is. You shot like the first thing I got destroyed. They're the most indestructible cameras on Earth. And we destroyed nine of them. To be honest with you, we wrecked, it felt like a hundred thousand of them, but only nine finally stopped rolling. That's good to know that little guy's going to be around for a while. You can set them on fire. We did that too. Yeah, try that. Still, I got it. She goes to do something called fire. It's unbelievable. Five quick questions, one word answers. Okay. Script or improv? Script. Improv. Leonard or McCartney? Leonard. I go with Leonard. Hitchcock or Kubrick?

40I'm Hitchcock. I'm Hitchcock. I'm Hitchcock. I threw this one on Twitter. I wanted a breaking bad one. So Walter White or Heisenberg? Heisenberg. Yeah, I agree. In one word, need for speed. Speed. With the lean-in, I like that. Real. What's out of this behind the wheel? We're all in together. There's an APB out for your arrest in ten states.

28Maybe we should rethink the plan. I'm never going to stop. Out of your mind. I love it.
