06I'm great. I'm really good. I'm good. I'm fun. Happy to be in Toronto. Yeah, I have. Shooting? Working? Yeah, shooting. I was on COVID affairs for a while and I shoot in Toronto. Peter Gallagher. Sandy Cohen. I love the OC so much. Don't even get me started on it. I honestly when I got to work for the first day on COVID affairs in my South Peter Gallagher, I started shaking. I was so excited to see a wizard chicken and then he's like the nicest man in the entire world and came up and like hogging with so sweet. I was obviously like fan girl. She couldn't breathe. So Maggie. Huh? Yeah. Where do you hope she goes this season? Where would you like to take her? That's a really good question. Well we spent a lot of the first season with Maggie being quite buttoned up. You know Maggie was really put together taking care of

53other people and then the last two episodes we started to see her unravel a bit as more personal issues come to the surface. So in season two I want to dig into the personal stuff more and play with the contrast between her being the small-town doctor, very professional, very well respected and her personal life is a mess. How much say do you have? What? If you were to go to the writers and be like this is where I'd like the character to go. Addictions. Would they like you though? Do you talk to them and be like I don't feel like she would do this. We do have shows and really the writers are we're all pretty much on the same page all the time and they're all so talented and they have Aaron Zelman who created the show is such a wonderful vision for resurrection as a whole that wherever he's

38leading I'll follow anything he comes up with is way better than I could potentially come up with. But there are a couple things like here and there were Aaron's like I didn't know that you were kind of funny sometimes and so now maybe they're like adding a little bit of humor. So like that there's that's the great part about doing season two is that we're all that much more comfortable with each other we've all built these characters and so it's just gonna get deeper and deeper and deeper. You've talked about I've heard you talking about the interesting navigate between I quoted you here loving her family and caring for them or following her own path. How hard is that of a line to work? I think it's really hard because Maggie has a potentially unhealthy relationship with her father that she feels the need to take care of him and and she feels like

26she has to be responsible to and you know the child becomes the parent in a way and but also she so deeply respects and cares about what he thinks and so I think she's just constantly torn back and forth there it's a lose lose if she doesn't if Maggie doesn't follow her own path and try to figure out what's going on with the return then she's not be truthful to herself and to what she thinks is important for science in the world and what's happening currently and if she doesn't she doesn't make her family happy then what does she really have because that's the most important thing in the world to her as her father. If someone this is a weird question I'm gonna ask if someone were to come back now like on the show who would you want to return? Omar Epson I would play this game at work and sometimes we would get very deep

16like oh I had a you know grandparent that diary get a bit emotional but normally we would just go for like people that we'd want to have a drink with. So I believe Jimmy Hendricks and John London were two people that were constantly I'd like to go and have a cocktail with that person. You play music? I can play the Titanic theme song on the piano and I've played it at Prince's house which was a big moment for like 10 year old Devin. Talk about working with her because that you must be learning every day. Oh my gosh yeah between all of them between Kurt Witsmith and Francis Fisher and Matt Craven there aren't better people to learn from there so talented and they're the most lovely humans we just have the best time we became they all came from the theater so we

03really became a company and they're just all three of them are wells of stories like they're just never ending stories about Titanic about that 70s show about all the things that they've worked on it's fascinating cool this I got to let you go so we do something called five questions okay five good questions one word answers and one of them kind of leads into something you said already okay in Proverscript. Scratch. Stage or screen. Screen. Lening or recurring. Lening. Which term do you prefer movie film or picture? Film. In one word. Resurrection. Exciting. Thank you. Thank you have a little thing at the end too a little. Thank you so much. Appreciate it.
