06Is it really in Canada? Yes, yes. You said you want to talk about? I love Canada. I'll just start you off like that. No, I mean we should have been Cooper, which is great and we've been super lucky because the cast of Arrow is there and they've been very welcoming, but I have to say I love being Cooper. I love food and I found great restaurants there. It's a gorgeous city. Yeah, I really love it. She's the sushi that is amazing. It's cheap? Good sushi everywhere. I don't think I've had bad sushi there. Even like right around the corner from the hotel, they like made it with brown rice. She's a foodie. She went to every restaurant, I think in Vancouver while we were shooting. I'm like, I'm just gonna do rooms. While we were shooting, you're done? When we were shooting the pilot. Is that all you've done so far? That's all we've done. And it looks like no budget was spared. Like the thing looks like a multi-million dollar movie. It truly does look like a movie, which is great. You're so moved and invested and it's fantastic.

55Yeah, I mean they were using special effects that have only been used in movies. It's the first time some of this stuff has been done on TV. It's incredible. It's a cool thing to be a part of. It's the medium it's changing now. And because there's a fan base that want to see this show done so well, it's great to see the pilot and see that they spared no expense to make it look great. I mean the fans are expecting that and I think this team pulled it off. Totally. And it shows you the investment that everybody has in making this the best show possible. Talk about your characters and why you like playing them. So I'm playing Iris West, who's Barry Allen's best friend, longtime best friend, childhood best friend and potential love interest. And she's studying criminal psychology. She's in graduate school doing registration. So eventually she'll start working in the precinct and working on cases.

40Now you said she's his rock. I think I mean. Yeah. Yeah. Have you got to explore that yet? Yeah. I think you see that in the pilot and you'll definitely see that throughout the series. Yeah. I call her his rock. The true north is a good example of that. I feel like no matter what's going on in Barry's life, like the one constant he has is that Iris is going to be there and she's always fun loving and just easy going. And I think every person needs that in their life, every man needs that in their life to come home and you've got this girl that's just like your best friend and everything's easy. Everything's easy with Iris. I love their relationship. That's what I love playing. Cool. That's why I love fingers. How about you? I play a scientist. Caitlin Snow. She works at Star Labs and you know, she's new into Barry's life. Barry gets struck sort of by lightning and it's from this particle accelerator that exploded that the team of scientists I was working with was working on.

30So you know, it's a new relationship in Barry's life, but we're sort of helping him understand his superpowers and see what he can do with that. You get some crazy dialogue being a scientist. Oh my gosh. It's like a mouthful. You know. Yeah. Exactly. I mean, Carla's are like practicing and making sure syllable by syllable. It's tough, but it's fun. I would rather be playing a smart character than a dumb one. Like, give me the big words. Let me take it on. Did you know what was happening when you were on Ira last year? Did they tell you this is where it's going to end up? Ira only came as a product of being cast on the pilot when they called to let me know that I got the role. They said we also want you to do a guest spot on Ira, which was, you know, icing on the cake. We do something called five questions. Five quick questions. Oh, you don't know. One word answers. Everyone gets the same ones. One word. Okay. Okay.

15Stage or screen? Screen. Screen. Improver script. Script. Leninger McCartney. Leninger McCartney. Which term do you prefer? Film, movie, or picture? Picture. Film. That's the first picture today. I've been waiting for that one. Film's good too though. Don't worry. Picture is old school. I feel like I'm being a little stuck up. I'm doing this picture with Robert De Niro. Which has never happened. Let's be clear. I'm not in a picture with Robert De Niro. In one word, the flash. Amazing. Heroic. Thanks, ladies. Appreciate it. Good to hear you. Thanks.
