01Intelligent machines will soon allow us to conquer our most intractable challenges. To develop new methods for the early detection of cancer. To build a better future for all of us. Simply put, to save lives. Once online, its analytical power will be greater than the collective intelligence of every person born in the history of the world. Hello, bon't big with you. You ruined House of Cards for me on Letterman. No, I was so subtle. He pressured me to do it. We'll blame David. He's retiring. It's okay. So this movie really makes you think though. Yeah, did it? Yeah, still thinking about it. How do you think it's all going to play itself when this inevitably happens 30 years from now?
47Is it going to happen in 30 years? That's what everyone's saying. 30 years, how old will I be? What were the same age? 60-ish? Yeah. Oh god, I don't know. That's very frightening. I'm not sure that I want that to happen. Well, maybe not in the way that it happens in this movie. Maybe in a more peaceful kind of utopian way. Right. Yeah, I mean, the thing that I sort of was attracted to about the story was that it does get you sort of thinking like which side are you on? And I just don't really know. I'm somewhere in between. You like the Twitter though? I like the Twitter. So you're already kind of uploading your thoughts out there. So it would not like me. But I do, I'm like sort of, yeah, I'm not quite on Johnny's side.
32Gotcha. Yet. Yet. Maybe in 30 years I will be. One of the tweets from the other day was you getting drunk listening to One Direction. Yeah. It was the last tweet I think I saw. Yeah. When you're guilty pleasure One Direction songs. I love every One Direction song. Okay. I mean, their new album is really strong. And that did happen. I mean, it doesn't take a lot to get me a little bit drunk, but so it wasn't like I was, you know, drinking a bottle of whiskey. It was like a glass of wine. Okay. Yeah, I love One Direction and I'm not really ashamed of it. No, and one shouldn't be. I do have a true or false question for you though. Okay. If the giants of the Steelers make the Super Bowl your contracts say you have to have the day off, is that true? Yeah. Really? Yeah, but I'm not always working. So like, it's rare that it happened before.
19It happened years and years ago when the Steelers were in the Super Bowl and I was working on that TV show 24. And the schedule, they couldn't let me off work and I had to miss it. And it was like, I was tortured by my family. It was horrible. I mean, there are much worse problems in the world. But when that happened, I was like, this will never happen again. I'm never missing another, you know, family Super Bowl. So yeah, if I'm working, if I'm lucky enough to be working during the Super Bowl, then that's always sort of on the contract. That's cool. Yeah. So we do some called five questions, five quick questions, one word answers. So nervous. Okay, go.
04Script or improv? What? Script or improv? Script. Staedra Screen. Screen. Lennon or McCartney? Whoa. Lennon. Hitchcock or Kubrick? Hitchcock. In one word, transcendence. Technology? Like it. Thank you. See, that's why I like scripted. Right. And not improv. I'm sorry. I'm so good. Do it with everybody. Thanks, Kate. Did I pass the test? Yeah, there's no wrong answers. Okay, get the fuck out of here. Nice to meet you.
