00Absolutely. So, but I am curious as to why you decided Toronto in the first place. How come you came up to Canada to start a record label? Yeah. At least Toronto.
33How did you come across JD era? That's nice. Well, let's talk about you. Let's talk about this record,
20this appetizer mixtape that came out, Lost Jewelry. So it's the...
27And it's the precursor to Fila, which is coming out when. And it's a lot. Maybe some good summer jams on there. I never know. I wish more schlop.
35I like that. Well, how do you make it more international? Is it something you're talking about in the lyrics to draw more people in? Is it something you look for in the productions of songs for like salsa grooves or Brazilian grooves?
25Exactly. Mm-hmm.
53And what about with rhymes? Like are you someone who agonizes over words and agonizes over the cadence and the phrasing? Or are you someone that sits there with the pen and paper and scratches that words here and there? Or do you just spit what you spit and go with it because that's what came out? Mm-hmm.
45Well, why is that missing? Except for Fila, which is...
33Except for Fila. Fila is another... Mm-hmm. Well, yeah, talk about albums. Well, talk about albums. The Cuban links records. Wikipedia says that you're working on a third one.
19What keeps bringing you back to that story? And where does the story go? Absolutely.
30Mm-hmm. See how so beautiful. Is it something about getting into a character like Lex Diamonds?
26Is there something about creating rap differently when you embrace that persona? Dude, I'm not stalking you.
23Yeah, me too. That's cool. We don't have too much time, so I didn't want to touch on something that we haven't yet. You're talking about being 10 times faster, 10 times smarter, 10 times better. I assume everyone in the Wu-Tang Clan would probably be the same thing working on a record with those guys again that everyone's talking about.
16What's it like being in the studio with those guys again?
02Also, when it comes to me, I like that you got to make a song called Black Beatles.
50That's a good title. What's it worth though with that many MCs on a track? How do you guys decide who comes in where and what themes you guys talk about? Does someone come in and say, let's rhyme about this on that tune and then everyone goes and does the same thing? I love hearing about it, man. I could talk to you for hours, but I know we don't have too much time.
01So we do something called Five Questions, Five Quick Questions, One Word Answers, Road or Studio, Lening or McCartney? The Beatles, Pock or Biggie? When you hear a song what usually hits you first, lyrics, melody or rhythm, song you've written you're most proud of. And in One Word, rekwan the chef.
