00Hi I'm Priyanka Chopra and you're watching me on MSN exclusive. Ciao! I appreciate it. Thank you, I'm very happy to be here. Yeah, so I have you on this side of the world. Yes it is, very nice to be on this side of the world. Is it? Yeah. Well actually I come from the tropics and it's really nice to see snow.

48I don't know if it would be special for you but we're just like get away from us. No I'm on it yesterday so I was snowing and I was like yeah it tourists me, can I take some pictures please? Did you get a parka and make like snow angels? No I didn't get that park. But I did stand outside and try to eat some of the fresh snow and then everybody was like okay I think you should come back in now. What boggles my mind as I was reading you've done 40 movies in 10 years. I don't think anyone in North America does that. Like you guys must shoot really quickly. Well as an actress I do. I do about four movies a year and I started when I was just like 17 so it's given me a huge opportunity of a lot of time to do stuff and I've had some really amazing producers make really great movies for me. So I've been lucky on that front and plus I love my job so I try and do as much of it as I can.

35Do you ever take breaks? No. Ah that's how you do it. No vacations. No vacation. So when was their time? When did the idea for music pop in? Actually it was never my idea. It was Universal's great idea. They came on me. A huge label comes to you as we think you should sing. Yeah it was literally like that. They came to me and they said you know we want to make an album with you. We know you can sing a little bit and because I mean as I was saying for fun I did like a few stage shows and stuff just for fun though. And we know you can sing and we have this great idea of taking a Bollywood act and making it international because you know India is such a great market right now. We have so many people from across the world who are of Indian descent and are interested in Indian movies and it just seems like an interesting idea. So I was like okay let me just go suss it.

20I went to the studio and I sang a little bit. I started writing a little bit and one and a half years later I have an album. A year and a half ago so where does it start for you? You were writing columns in the newspaper so does that translate into songwriting? Are you writing with other people? How does that work? Well I have collaborated with a lot of other amazing writers. I have co-written, I have written. I didn't know I could write. I just went into the studio while you know these really great writers were writing and started talking about my own ideas because I wanted my music to sort of reflect what I wanted to say. And most of my songs on the album will be written or co-written by me. So what do you want to say? What are we going to hear you sing? Just anything I feel. I think music is such a liberation. It's such a sense of freedom. You can say whatever you want. Yeah people might not like it or they will.

06You never know but at least it's the truth. It just comes from deep plays in your heart. And so my music is pop. It's almost every genre. It's got mid-tempo, it's got ballads, it's got EDM, it's got mainstream pop music which is what in my city is. Which is not written by me by the way it's written by Esteine. In fact the song was introduced to me by Will himself. We were in the studio. Will I am? Is he just talking about it? Right. Your buddy Will. Well not my buddy but yes it was great working with him. We were in the studio and we wanted to, you know the label put us together and they wanted us to work something out together. When he had this great song and he said that you know I think this would be just right for you. And I heard it, I really liked it and we had a video and a song and just kind of happened.

51I've heard you say you live on an airplane so what is your city? My city is anywhere there airplane lands. I mean right now I'm balancing between LA and Mumbai. But at the moment my city has been Mumbai for a few years now. Are you missing it? If you're balancing things here now? Well I'm always traveling. I miss my family. Yes I do. Whenever I don't get to see them because I don't very much. Like you know I do four movies a year. But I think they've got use to me being a little bit of a you know I have wheels on my feet. I can't stay in one place. Maybe I should be your next video, wheels on your feet. Nice. I like that. So this video it's a lot of green screen stuff. What was it like for you when you saw the finished product the first time it must have been something else? Well it was quite spacey when I didn't know what I was going to be like and what Joseph had in his mind.

38I've done a lot of special effects films so I kind of knew what green screen would be about. But whenever somebody explains what is in their head you don't understand it until you can finally see it. I love the idea of the video being sort of comic bookie. It's like colorful and it's got these laser lights and that's what I really liked about it. That it's colorful and because that's what our movies are about. They're you know a celebration and I wanted my video to be that. So what are some other songs? I know there's a chain smoker song that if you search on YouTube you can kind of find clips of it here and there. We have another video to that but it's the chain smokers featuring me. It's a really special song. I love love love that song and it's an EDM track which we released just out there for you know people to kind of find and stumble upon.

25It's called Air Ace and it's a really beautiful track and I've co-written that so it's fun. And what are you talking about? What do you feel like the love songs? It's a broken heart. Keep playing the music really loud so I can get through the pain. It's one of those songs. Have you found music writing therapeutic? Very much so actually and after I finished writing it I'm like I think I said a little bit too much. People might just find out too much about me. Are you a very private person? You were weary about that. I am very tremendously private. So after I was finished with the album I was like man said a bit much. When are we going to hear the record? Very soon. In my city has just happened right now so we're going to wait for that to work up a little bit and then probably we're figuring out which is the next single.

11What's the beginning of in my state there's like this chip on voice going on? What is it what is it is that you is that someone else? That's red ones version of just something quirky to do. What is he saying? I was trying to make it out all morning. It's nothing. Oh that's why you couldn't tell what it is. It's just noises. What's going on? It's a completely bad segue but I want to know about this boxing training even going through it. Oh my god. Well I'm doing a movie which is a biopic on a really famous Indian female boxer and she's a five-time world champion and she has two babies and she had three over world championships after she had her babies and last year she went into the Olympics in one India bronze and so yeah it's a biopic on her really incredible life her struggles and

59she comes from a really small town with you know with not as much support support as we would have wanted a world champion to have so it's her story of her struggle and how she wins at the end of it. It's something I'm really excited about. Have you started shooting it? No I started shooting in June but I started training. Right so you've gone to the boxing club? Hard but not yet. In the midst of all this. Yes in the midst of all of this. You found a way to, that's crazy. Yeah. So what have you learned so far? What have you learned so far? Is it jab your hook like where are you? I haven't gotten into boxing yet. I'm still trying to get my body into like a six-pack shape so that I intimidate everyone. That would be so much fun. I bet it would be. Yeah. I think especially for all my co-actors, the boys.

45Yeah there you go. They're more excited about me being a boxer than I am. Because you know the boys are like you should do this and then when you go to the gym you know this is what you should try and you should be on this kind of a diet. I find it so funny because I have all my co-actors and directors sending me DVDs or the movies I should watch just for reference and how you know it's going to be tough and it's going to be a struggle and I'm like guys I'm playing a boxer. I'm not becoming one. But it should be really fun. It's going to be a really exciting process in the middle of all of this to be able to do that too. So by the time I hit the bed at night I'm just over and out. When are we going to tour? Do you want to tour? Yes I am to tour. No I will be. I will have to tour. I want to tour. Once we have a couple of singles together then probably we will. And would you want to tour with the DJ and a couple of dancers with a band?

33Like how do you envision that stage show going? We haven't really thought about it yet. I think the label wants to get a couple of singles out. See what it does to a market outside of India and then make it a really spectacular big ass show. We do something called Five Questions. Five quick questions. One more answers for a girl. Well you can never do that. We can for you we'll let you go a little longer if you can. I don't know if we can even the first one's always Road or Studio but I guess you haven't really been on the road yet. So let's do this. Filmer music. My bed. Can I not fake either one? You can answer however you want as long as it's one word. I can't fake either. Lening or McCartney. Lening. When you hear a song what usually hits you first.

19Lyric's Melody or Rhythm. Lyric's. Song you've written you're most proud of. Well it is a well. Doesn't need to be one word. Yeah it isn't. Okay. It's the it's the song called It's a choice between two I'm finding it really hard to pick. Which two? Well one is a ballad. It's so early to talk about it right now because we've just finished learning it. Are you allowed to talk about it? Not yet. Okay. Which one is a ballad and one is a mid tempo. They're both like co-written by me. I won't say they're completely written by me. But I don't want to talk about it. It's too early to do so. In one word. Prankachopra. Complicated. That's good.

04I like that.
