29So your tour lemons because we're rolling now. I want to tell the story with the tour lemons. That's cool When it started we did the golden girls was the first one because one of our crew guys is to call us the golden girls or something For some reason. Yeah, we just yeah, we didn't party hard. No, superimposed our faces on golden girls. You were I think it was B. Arthur. Yeah, you were B. Arthur That was Blanche I think I remember the D. I remember the D. The easy one. Yeah, but Dave was totally baked when he did was rose It's just like rose. It's amazing. Is that rose? That's the key. It's better with any of us all about getting into character Yeah, I'm getting into character. What's this tour going to be? We've basically been on the road for a while now. Yeah, we did Seinfeld

1618 Man which is great. We just currently were using hangover. That's this tour. Yeah, this is tour. They're all gonna sue us Tough because we're trying to find something with four people so that we can put all our faces on because we'd like to do step brothers But then there's really only two of them. I could do step brothers. Stage in our shows Could you step brothers if we could do the dad? Yep, and the mom Joe can be the mom. Yeah, of course Do you see you guys always feel for you man? I'm the drummer man. I just had that work You can play shows obviously midway through a tour-ish here and there here and there we were playing this morning We got off stage in Bury at 1 a.m. This morning. Oh, so just a few hours ago. Yeah, thanks so much for coming in This is the third interview third and we also did a T-worded TV acoustic. Look at you guys

06What song you playing acoustic what does the TV want we did we already did it was angel. We did it acoustic I got that Drown acoustic. How does that work? We've done it a few times. It sounds good. Yeah a little dark Do those have easy Song start on acoustic those heavier tunes or they always start an electric Wait, what do you mean when you're writing a song when you're writing those heavier? It's sit. I don't know man. Like we get that question a lot like how do you how do you can forget that question? I don't want to ask questions That's probably the that's probably like the lamest question we use again We'll get there a good It's a good question because it's obviously popular

52People want to know topic. Okay. All right. No, it's all over the place. They literally could start with the lyric that song I think was all the lyrics were done and the riff was on electric maybe Maybe I remember I did watch those videos. There's like there's different instruments in this record That's like you playing mando you're playing banjo at one point like we believe or not. We can actually we're actual musicians It's like different instruments, right? Yeah You know fun to add a little bit with you sound on angel like yeah, he just does that with his mouth Oh, is that all that is? Can't do it right now. It's ate a bunch of crackers. So I didn't Yeah, I mean all records will have Like laughs deal and guitar we did the guitar We do I mean we try to put that kind of stuff on

42Armonica some of the stuff we put on never makes it to the final edit We just we had a harpsichord in one song. Yeah, too bad because you don't have to rent all the stuff in the studio Right, they bring it all in we did have this one homeless I don't know if he was really homeless, but he was he was a banjo dude on the side of the road and I walked past him on the way to the studio and I Like sounded like he knew what he was doing. It sounded like he was pretty good. So I'm like hey you want to play in record He's like sure Brought I brought him into the studio. I'm like hey guys the meet what the guy arc is he was arc arc? Yeah, arc is old man arc and so we put him in the studio We're all a gun to play on the song and he was terrible Now we know why he's out in the street Sellers CD and stuff he's got like a compact disc for sale out of his banjo case It was tough and we had to pay him we had to pay him union

30Like we had a few we had to pay me He was homeless, but then he went and got an apartment after that You know Project How are the new songs sitting in the set, how are the sets working now? I mean, yeah, you obviously have songs people want to hear you want to play the new stuff too. Yeah five records. Uh, we still don't play Sing some singles. So I don't know we only play two songs right now, but the record comes out tomorrow july 29th tomorrow tomorrow, so We'll see it now we get to see which songs fans Gravitate towards the most and then maybe we'll start slipping those and we'll start hearing them yellow songs to at the shows And that's always a good indicator of what people like and want to hear because we have our favorites

20Yeah, we as long as that we think we'll be good to add to the set but which are what now I'm curious What are your favorites? We all got a few I think that salt in the wound was one song that we were talking about maybe adding to the set soon We rehearsed that a few times. It sounds awesome. Yeah, we just Heavied we just started playing angel a little bit acoustic and that That could get in the set too. It sounds really good. So it's hard to say man I don't know like I you know our our hardcore fans are gonna like probably the songs that sound the most like us at first So I think fans are gonna like want to hear blow. That's very theory of a dead man esque song So we'll we'll see I don't know I like that one it must have been fun to write like the lyrics like it just it feels like it was a fun one to Come up with yeah, well, you know

05My ex she had a place in the Hollywood Hills and she lived right beside chris brown. That's my favorite line Yeah, and so I would I would go over there and I would literally see him all the time and rianna would drive by and Yeah, it was just really odd and so then I came up with that line about him beating rianna And now he's the first one. He smiled when you say that Now he shouldn't be doing that. Well, that's why I like the line you're keeping in the public's consciousness because it seems like everyone's kind of forgiven him Yeah, that's right. It's like come on dude So I I came up with that line at that moment and in the song literally over a couple months. I started getting these other little Lines and almost became like a rap. It's totally a rap. Yo, yo, check this out It's like a hype man in the background too every time you do like a diss. It's like oh

55Yeah Tolerious, I don't know it became like a fun song and then when it was all finished I was like This is uh, it was I thought it was really good, but I was almost nervous because I'm like, I don't know like Calling out people you gotta be very careful when you start doing that But uh, it's all tiny cheek toe people get that I think it's ironic. It's it's uh, it's It's almost hypocritical because it's like Which is what makes it good is because you call yourself out at the end Which is what I think makes it all come together is you can Blast everybody and then you're like hey, but you know before you get mad at me. I'm the biggest hypocrite of all So, right I like that. Yeah I don't like dogging on people, but you know, it's done in the It's a telling dog on people but Kanye keeps dogging on rock music and we won't stand for that

43That's right. I like that. Where he wears leather jogging pants Are they jogging pants with their leather is that still yeah He tried to create leather jogging pants and everyone said no and you know it's true It's I mean it's such a good idea. I really is they breathe sweating. Yeah, that's great. That's great What well you start with them on in the morning? They're jogging pants and then by the nighttime they're skinny jeans Skinny leather pants ready to go. Yeah That's terrible every every interview I watched if you guys like from months ago talking about the record before it was You know saying it was this heavy heavy record then we're listening to it in the car this morning There's angel and then there's the one and we're just oh Right what there's a lot of heavy tunes, but it's this came out of left field But I mean uh considering what we had in the last two records. They were they were quite a bit

32Funner and lighter. Hmm. This one is a lot more aggressive just maybe with the content the lyrical content too like songs like Drowned savages son of a me panic room Misery mankind salt and wound they're all very more dark and aggressive songs And there's just someplace that we needed to go. I think Get away from the girls and I met a bunch of fans last night and this dude was like Give me a high five for hate women and I'm like just just really you know I don't hate women Like is that really what everyone thinks I don't hate women. I mean there's I mean I get an aim at I know this is like yeah, and I was like I do it. I don't hate women and the I mean there was probably More women than men at our show show last night. Yeah, which is great. They weren't throwing tomatoes. That's the ratio. We like throwing more ladies

25I don't know where to go from that Al's Cooper. Let's go there. Why not because they're knife throwing he throws knives when you're an Alex Cooper Alex Cooper Alex Baldwin Alex Cooper Yeah, Alice Baldwin. I mean I was Baldwin on this He throws knives in the studio who's I heard someone talking about this Uh, yeah, yeah, well he had a fan He used to he used to do that on stage. I guess he had some sort of circus thing We some Czech spinning probably yeah throw knives at it and he was he's so good at it And then they couldn't let him do anymore because I guess he killed someone he killed him. He killed That's good for rock and roll folklore But yeah, he does have he does have a dark border in the studio with knives and he comes in and he was it And he just starts throwing them. He's really good at it. So I'm like oh yeah Through one just none of them stuck one bounced off and came flying hit me in the shoe

13I'm like man It's harder than it looks but they're all real like there's shabby at ninja stars and stuff One of their like these just these spikes Just like pointy spikes and they're just so cool. I just want to throw it at somebody Alex Cooper would be awesome because we're zombie apocalypse, you know He just big dropping zombies with his knives all over the place. Yeah, amazing He fit right into you could probably walk around with the makeup. You never get a wonder if Alice Cooper Would have to attack Rob Zombie That's a good question My question was going to be who wrote that part that he speaks was that you guys are he want to say some certain things No, that was me. He just read it verbatim It actually had the f bomb in it and he refused to say that and I knew right away too I instantly said before even saying it like he's not gonna swear He's not gonna it's just his doesn't need to tell us

58You swear so I originally did the spoken word but we were hoping To get somebody we talked about a little bit like we gotta get someone like epic He threw up somebody recognizable. Yeah, and um Someone had said like let's get a classic Artist like a classic rock guy that everyone knows like a famous person and uh Our producer Howard Benson Was once managed by al scooper's manager. What's his name? Yeah Gordon yeah Yeah, yeah, so he's got a movie that came out. Yeah, so uh Howard called chef Gordon and Sound the song and he's like yeah, it's great. Let's do it So how else was into it talking about guests I hate to bring this up, but the country song is stuck in my head for some reason is that the awesome song?

45Yeah, but one of my favorites. It's so different never would have expected that there And last time I saw charlotte was for rascal flaps and then joe don's on that tune. Joe down rune Yeah, he loves that song too. We we talked to the phone is that man? Song's awesome man. So that's my impersonation Could have been tin bro Right in the country song that was different is it? Wow. That is that big of a stretch. We've got a bunch of stuff That's country leaning in the past. So I don't think it's that far of a departure Is there a difference to running a country song in a rock song? Uh, not really. I mean the approach is exactly the same. It's just uh Countries about losing your Wife and your dog dies and then you run out of beers. You run out of gas and your pickup truck

32Yeah, I don't know if you got all those lines in there. I think yeah, it's just the content That's the fun thing about that song. It's just literally the stereotype about country songs About how country music is all I mean, it's the same as rock like it's just The cliche with rock and roll. It's just all about you know songs are like it's all mountain cruise like Simon girls Some trip clips partying and The tour bus and the hot tub. I mean like what's all true. Like when's the last thing we'll sign about that? Um Okay girlfriend, but in the country this cliche is all everything's about oh whoa is me and lose everything And all the dogs are barking. So we just wrote a the song is just a cliche about living your life like a country song So you lost it all We try to get Willie Nelson on it somehow But I know I would get a best video because one of the lion's talks about you know you live in your life

22You're gonna be willing Nelson track It's cool. I feel bad. I had to set anything yet and I told you I'm gonna get a question to you We got to show this first. So here's my thing when someone joins the band kind of midway through What was the hardest wrap your head around behind the kit from the old tunes? Like what took longest? Well Joe was a super fan Yeah Maybe they were all easy. I don't know No, I I found them to be Fine, but you know what it's funny because I was actually playing in in cover bands before I joined these guys to cross the country and I happened to just play some of the theory songs In that band so uh coming in was it was it was nice Because I knew them but it was nice because I was actually playing with with the original guys

07And he'd be like how the band does this better Suck It was nice to have that Transition but it was a huge like life change for me going from that to these guys. Yeah, it's like touring the world Yeah, and they still razz you on the car. Oh, yeah And I'm still always be the guy Joe was the Bradley Cooper on hangover. That's that's the A plus guy I had to get I had to be the nerd with the missing tooth. That was the baby face tattoo You should show people these pictures. I think I just left mine too. I should have had that should have been good That was a good prop for the interview. I know Okay, so we do something called five questions five quick questions one word answers everyone can answer All right, rotor road or studio road road?

54Leonard McCartney McCartney I'm gonna go off the yeah, I'm gonna go off the table go George Harris You can't when you hear a song what usually hits you first lyrics melody or rhythm Melody rhythm. Yeah, melody melody if someone's never heard theory before what song do they start with? Santa Monica Same sign. Yeah, yeah, sure. Okay in one word theory of a dead man tired Yeah, I don't know. That's a tough one very hard working. Okay, that's like three words. Yeah, I'm a little high-f I'll give it to whenever You can say hard and using working happy

41Yeah, it's good. Thanks guys. I appreciate it. Thank you. Thank just one word Thank you. Bye one word
